About this work
A small horizontal work (WSM) depicting white clover, horsetail, and dandelion sprouting at a spring retarding basin. On kumohada hemp paper in mineral pigments and glue, the grain of the mineral colors vividly renders the wild grasses spreading underfoot within spring light. True to the title 'Kusa-asobi (Grass Play),' it finds the joy of spring in the sight of humble grasses clustering as if at play.
