About this work
A shallow vessel formed on a pure silver and copper body, layered with transparent glaze that allows the underlying metal tones to emerge softly through the vitreous surface. Silver cloisonné wires, left deliberately unpolished, rise slightly above the enamel, casting fine shadows that shift with each change in viewing angle. Pure silver foil embedded beneath the glaze interacts with the raised wire patterning, producing subtle chromatic variations across the form. The work reframes traditional yūsen shippō by elevating the silver wire from a structural boundary to a primary visual element.
