Prosperity -Tripod Incense Burner with Honeybee and Fleabane-

About this work

A three-legged incense burner crafted in silver and brass. A honeybee alights on the lid, while fleabane flowers are rendered in gold wash on the vessel's surface. The piece quietly evokes natural cycles through the imagery of wildflowers and a bee gathering pollen. A three-legged incense burner rendered in silver and brass, its surface bearing finely detailed honeybees and Philadelphia fleabane. Gold pigment (kindei) lends a restrained luminosity that delineates each petal and wing. Forging and chasing techniques shape the compact vessel, while its function as an incense burner remains concealed until the lid is lifted. The work distills memories of childhood encounters with flora and fauna into a functional object, embedding quiet discovery within an intimate scale of just four by eight centimeters.
