Seiryu (Azure Dragon)

About this work

A dragon emerges from a field where ink-like washes and acrylic pigments bleed into one another. Fluid brushwork renders scales and whiskers as though suspended in humid air, while the creature's sharp gaze anchors a composition that otherwise dissolves at its edges. The interplay of controlled detail and unresolved margins reflects an ongoing pursuit of fixing what the artist calls 'the bleeding of life'—capturing the tension between legibility and dissolution through animal subjects.
