Sonoscape Mirage

About this work

Across a 162 × 97 cm cotton ground, translucent color layers built through successive rounds of wax-resist dyeing with reactive dyes merge and fracture, evoking a landscape that shimmers like a mirage. Hard-edged passages where the wax held firm give way to soft, unpredictable bleeds inherent to the rōzome process, embedding light and atmosphere within the fabric itself. Rooted in an animist inquiry into non-human perception, the work collapses sound and scenery into a single, quietly unstable field.
