About this work
Dense layers of modeling paste and acrylic, applied with a painting knife, build a tactile surface across a compact vertical canvas. As the third panel of a triptych, the work registers shifts in rhythm and texture that accumulate across the sequence. Stripped of figurative reference, the composition draws on the cognitive-science concept of image schemata, inviting viewers to project meaning onto ambiguous visual structures—completing the work through their own perceptual engagement.
