A pair of amber eyes gazes steadily outward from soft white-and-grey fur. Built on a cotton-mounted panel, the image accumulates opaque and transparent oil glazes in multiple layers, rendering each strand of hair with subtle shifts of light while lending the pupils a depth that draws the viewer inward. The background is pared back, concentrating the composition entirely on the cat's sculptural presence and quiet intensity within a compact format.
