Three cats inhabit distinct chromatic zones—red, blue, and yellow—that divide the canvas into separate yet interconnected worlds. Built through alternating layers of opaque pigment and transparent glazes over cotton-mounted panel, the fur registers subtle shifts in hue while the eyes acquire a layered depth that draws the viewer inward. The subtitle "Signal" anchors the composition in the language of primary-colour semaphore, casting each feline presence as a quiet, self-contained sign within a carefully ordered pictorial space.
