STATEMENT

I express the poetry of daily life using the traditional metalworking techniques of raising, chasing and casting. Colour, too, I express through the chemical changes of metal. My works take as their motif the small world close at hand — insects and small creatures. By rebuilding them on the basis of landscapes and sensations held in memory, I aim at work in which something nostalgic can be felt within a realistic expression. As a child I simply watched, absorbed, discovering the small world close at hand. I hope my work can be an occasion for remembering the sense we forget in the rush of adult life.
