The main material used is glass, and the casting technique is used to create popsicle motifs.
The “cool it” series, in which a white bear is made into a character, is based on the concept of a mass-consumption society that combines a disappearing synonym for environmental protection and “kawaii,” a Japanese pop culture word for cute, by taking the form of a melted popsicle. The artist attempts to address the contradictions and ironies that lurk in modern society.
